Selling or buying a property is a significant financial decision that requires the expertise and guidance of a competent real estate agent. While most agents are dedicated professionals, there are still common mistakes they can make that may hinder your real estate experience. Recently I’ve been fortunate enough to deal with a number of real estate agents in a different region, and to tell the truth it was a really interesting experience. We discovered some great agents, and some who did not do their vendors justice.  In light of this, I thought it might be helpful to put together 10 areas where your agent might be letting you down. This will hopefully help you navigate the process more effectively and avoid potential pitfalls along the way.

 

1. Lack of Local Market Knowledge:

A successful agent should have extensive knowledge of the local market. If your agent seems unaware of recent sales and trends in your area, it may indicate a lack of expertise. This could impact your ability to achieve the best possible outcome.
